Longbranch Fiber Farm has developed a series of Needle Felting Kits using a pattern transfer system that allows even a beginner to reproduce the designs. Each kit has detailed instructions using photographs to demonstrate the techniques, a pattern, two felting needles, a specially selected pallete of dyed alpaca fiber and our unique hand felted alpaca/silk fabric to use as a felting base. Colors will vary from kit to kit, but they will be coordinated for the project and you will have an ounce with some left over to play with. Foam used as a needling surface is not included in the kit since once purchased, it can be re-used. I recommend a minimum 2 inch deep foam available at JoAnnes Fabric Stores and  most sewing or upholstery stores. Get a precut chair cushion or at least a piece big enough that you do not have to move your project around. Some kits require sewing skills to assemble the final project.
